MCS: Southern Europe’s first megawatt charger

We are leading the decarbonization revolution in long-distance heavy-duty transport with the commissioning of Southern Europe’s first public MCS (Megawatt Charging System) charger. Strategically located at Disfrimur’s logistics base in Sangonera la Seca, Murcia, this cutting-edge infrastructure delivers an unprecedented maximum power output of up to 1,440 kW.

Designed specifically to meet the needs of electric trucks and buses, this system reduces charging time by up to 90%. This makes it possible to charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes, adding between 300 and 400 kilometres of range while strictly making use of drivers’ mandatory rest periods.

Powered by 100% renewable energy backed by guarantees of origin, this milestone provides a real solution for a sector responsible for a quarter of transport emissions in Spain, reinforcing our commitment to leading the mobility of the future with efficient, sustainable and locally produced technology.

Madrid’s largest ultra-fast charging station

We are transforming urban mobility with a major intermodal hub in the heart of Nuevos Ministerios’ financial district.

We are radically reshaping the map of electric mobility in the capital with the opening of Madrid’s largest ultra-fast public charging station. Strategically located on Paseo de la Castellana, in the car park managed by Saba with direct connections to Metro and Cercanías services, this state-of-the-art hub becomes a key intermodal point for workers and visitors, just steps away from the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Developed in collaboration with NDS EV Services, the project provides the infrastructure with 40 exclusive spaces for electric vehicles. Of these, 22 spaces feature high-power 350 kW, 300 kW and 175 kW chargers operated by Iberdrola | bp pulse, capable of delivering up to 200 kilometres of range in just 10 minutes using 100% renewable energy backed by guarantees of origin.

This opening, which coexists with 18 Tesla charging points, is integrated into a fully renovated space that improves accessibility, safety and the user experience thanks to smart licence-plate access and the VIA-T system. With this milestone, we consolidate our leadership in the Community of Madrid and reinforce our urban deployment plan to create more sustainable, efficient and emission-free cities.

This cutting-edge infrastructure completely eliminates waiting times and ensures a continuous, efficient, and stable supply. Powered by 100% renewable energy with guarantees of origin, the station allows users to make the most of their visit to the shopping centre while charging their vehicles with the most advanced technology on the market. We overcome power limitations with an intelligent storage system using next-generation batteries.

We are taking an unprecedented leap forward in transport electrification with the opening of the country’s largest public charging infrastructure, bringing into service a pioneering station with 70 charging points at Nevada Shopping Retail Park in Granada.

Located in a strategic site for connectivity across Andalusia, next to the A-92 and A-44 motorways, this new megahub offers a comprehensive solution tailored to every need, combining 8 ultra-fast 150 kW charging points, 6 50 kW charging points, and 56 semi-fast 22 kW charging points.

Designed to bring sustainability and convenience together, the station allows users to make the most of their time by enjoying the shopping centre’s wide range of leisure options and services while charging their vehicles with 100% renewable energy backed by guarantees of origin.

This opening strengthens our presence in Andalusia and marks the start of an ambitious strategic plan to roll out large hubs in shopping centres across the Iberian Peninsula.
